Dr. Randolph Poe

Dr. Randolph Poe joined McPherson & Jacobson in 2024.

Randy Poe, Ed.D. serves as Executive Director of the Northern Kentucky Education Council and is the former superintendent of Boone County Schools in Kentucky. Dr. Poe has served as a member of the Council’s Board of Directors for the past 6 years, and most recently as the Board Chair. He is deeply committed to supporting the organization’s mission and enhancing advocacy efforts in Northern Kentucky.

As superintendent, his focus revolved around academic rigor, real world relevance and focused partnerships with students, parents and the community. Dr. Poe has been recognized at both the state and national levels for his accomplishments. He was honored to be named as the 2015 F.L. Dupree Outstanding Superintendent Award, 2015 Lifetime Achievement Award by Northern Kentucky Education Council, the 2013 Kentucky Superintendent of the Year by the Kentucky Association of School Administrators, and the 2012 Outstanding NKU Alumnus of the College of Education and Human Services. He was selected for the Northern Kentucky Education Council – One-to-One Literacy Award in 2011 and recently, Dr. Poe was recognized as the 2017 Kentucky Parent –Teacher Association Honorary Life Recognition and the 2016 Celebrate Advocacy for Public Education Award.

Dr. Poe serves on the Northern Kentucky University Alumni Board of Directors, the ITLN Education Advisory Council, as President-Elect for the NKY Education Council and is Past-President for the Kentucky Association of School Superintendents.

Dr. Poe is married to Melinda and has four children.
