Dr. Bradley Meeks joined McPherson & Jacobson in 2024.
Dr. Meeks began his career in education as a classroom teacher for five years in southeastern South Dakota. From there, Dr. Meeks began his administrative career in Elk Point, South Dakota as the high school principal and activities director for three years. For the next seven years, Dr. Meeks worked in the Sioux Falls (SD) School District, first as an assistant high school principal, a middle school principal, and then a high school principal. Dr. Meeks then began a five-year experience as superintendent in the Aberdeen (SD) School District. From there, he served eight years as superintendent in Farmington, MN, before moving to Steamboat Springs, Colorado, where he served as the superintendent for 11 years before retiring in June 2022. While in Steamboat Springs, the district was Accredited with Distinction by the Colorado Department of Education every year during his 11-year tenure with the district. During his time in Steamboat Springs, Dr. Meeks also served on the board of the Colorado Association of Superintendents and School Administrators and represented the Colorado Association of School Executives for three years on the American Association of School Administrators Governing Board. Dr Meeks came out of retirement to serve six months as the interim superintendent in Moffat County School District Re 1 in Craig, Colorado.
Dr. Meeks calls South Dakota his home state and was raised in Gettysburg. He holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and environmental science as well as a master’s degree in secondary school administration from Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD. Dr. Meeks received his specialist and doctorate degrees in educational administration from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion.
