Dr. Greg Rockhold joined McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C. in 2021 and brings more than 30 years of experience as an educational leader, researcher, author, and governance innovator. Throughout his career, he has served as an elementary, middle, and high school principal, as well as a superintendent, providing leadership across all levels of the K–12 system.
A former United States Marine and Eagle Scout, Dr. Rockhold earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Education degrees from Eastern New Mexico University and his Ph.D. from Trinity Southwest University. He has held numerous leadership roles at the state and national levels, including service on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP), President of the New Mexico Coalition of School Administrators, and Executive Director of the New Mexico Association of Secondary School Principals.
Among his notable accomplishments, Dr. Rockhold partnered with the Pueblo of Acoma Tribal Council to establish Keres as the first Native language in New Mexico to receive public school foreign language credit, helping preserve cultural heritage while expanding opportunities for students.
Dr. Rockhold is the founder of the Governance Intelligence Ecosystem, which includes DistrictLens, GlobalLens, and the Governance Stability Index (GSI). These innovative frameworks are designed to support evidence-based decision-making and student-focused leadership. A prolific author and researcher, his work focuses on governance, accountability, leadership development, and organizational improvement.
