Dr. Kathleen Sottile

Dr. Kathleen Sottile joined McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C. in 2022.

Dr. Kathleen Sottile is currently the Executive Director of the Northeastern Educational Intermediate Unit located in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Preceding this position, she spent 17 years in New York, most recently as the Superintendent of Schools in the Floral Park-Bellerose Union Free School District. Prior to that position she served as the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction and Principal of Floral Park Memorial High School in the Sewanhaka Central High School District located in Floral Park, New York. Dr. Sottile began her leadership career as the Assistant Principal in both the Delaware Valley School District and the Scranton School District located in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

She earned her Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees in Music Education from Marywood University and later went on to obtain her Principal/Superintendent Certification from Temple University and ultimately her Doctor of Education in Education Administration and Leadership from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Sottile’s leadership experience and commitment to students and the communities she served is exemplified by her participation in numerous professional leadership activities as well as professional recognitions and affiliations including LIU Post Secondary School Educator of the Year, Nassau BOCES Education Partner Award, March of Dimes Golden Apple Award, Town of Hempstead Pathfinder Award, and the New York District Everyday Hero Award.
