Dr. Renee Willis


Dr. Renee Willis joined McPherson and Jacobson in 2017. She is a veteran educator having served public education for 28 years.  Her educational experience ranges from PreK-16 where she has been a teacher, administrator, professor and is currently serving as a school superintendent. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Willis has worked in small districts as well as at the cabinet level in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District.

She has garnered several local and state awards including formal recognition by her Alma Mater, Baldwin Wallace University as Outstanding Educator of the Year in 2014. She is a 2017 graduate of the National Urban Superintendent’s Academy through AASA.

Dr. Willis has presented at national, state and local conferences.  She is an adjunct instructor at Cleveland State University and Baldwin Wallace University, specializing in Urban School Reform and Diversity.  Dr. Willis has a B.S. in mathematics from Spelman College; a MA.Ed. in Education Administration from Baldwin Wallace University; and a Ph.D. in Urban Education from Cleveland State University.
