Dr. Sonny Da Marto

Dr. Sonny Da Marto joined McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C. in 2022.

Dr. Da Marto’s greatest assets include an ability to work with others, exceptional organizational skills, and a contagious sense of humor. Most importantly, he is current on the state of education. He enjoys a strong work ethic and the competence, sensitivity, and strength to help people make needed changes. He is excellent working with boards of education. He has worked with school boards and served as a board member on several nonprofits.

Dr. Da Marto has over thirty-nine years of experience in the educational field with fifteen years as a superintendent. He is a “Respected educator and leader who always strives to put the best interests of students first”.

Dr. Da Marto has had the opportunity to work with two State Superintendent of Schools, many legislatures, and two governors to help frame educational policy and protect California education.

Dr. Da Marto is a member and a 2003-2004 past president of the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) which is the largest umbrella organization for school leaders in the nation.

During his tenures as a School District Superintendent, he was instrumental in guiding his Districts to a strong fiscal position while promoting educational excellence.

Dr. Da Marto is an author of numerous publications, has served on many California Sate committees and was a local community leader in Rotary and several local non-profit organizations.
