Mr. Andrew Tolbert joined McPherson & Jacobson in 2011. He has served ten years as a band director and over thirty years in public school administration in Arkansas as a superintendent, an assistant superintendent, a junior high and a senior school high principal. He is retired from the Arkansas Department of Education as State Superintendent for the Office of Intensive Support for Schools. While in that position, he provided mentoring and leadership assistance to the state-appointed superintendents of school districts that had been placed under State authority by the State Board of the Arkansas Department of Education. Mr. Tolbert is well known in the education arena throughout Arkansas having served as President of the Arkansas Association of School Administrators, the Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators, the Arkansas Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development, and the Arkansas Activities Association. He currently serves on the Arkansas State AdvancED Board.
Mr. Tolbert has Bachelor and Master Degrees in Instrumental Music from Henderson State University, and earned his Administrators’ Certification from Arkansas State University.← Back to list of consultants
