Mr. Shawn Arnold

Mr. Shawn Arnold joined McPherson & Jacobson in 2018.

After serving as superintendent for seven years in Alaska, Mr. Arnold currently serves as a Director in Juneau School District. He received his Superintendent Endorsement through the University of Alaska Southeast and Principal Certification through the University of Alaska Anchorage. Mr. Arnold holds a Master of Education in Special Education from the University of Alaska Southeast, a Master of Education in Secondary Social Studies from Wayland Baptist University, received a Master of Arts in Military History at Norwich University, and participated in the Harvard Graduate School of Education Leadership Institute for Superintendents. In addition to earning his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Alaska Anchorage, he holds undergraduate degrees in Criminal Justice and Human Resources.

Mr. Arnold has spent his adult life in Alaska, first arriving for military service in 1994. After 10-years of active duty, he worked as a teacher in Yukon-Koyukuk School District and Matanuska-Susitna Borough School District before moving into administration. Mr. Arnold became superintendent of Nome Public Schools in 2014 and served for 4-years before moving to 3-years in Valdez City Schools as superintendent.
