Mrs. Jennifer Worthington joined McPherson & Jacobson in 2024.
Jennifer Worthington’s career includes elementary education, nonprofit management, college administration, K12 school district administration and extensive community engagement. Worthington retired in December 2023 from Grand Island Public Schools where she served as Chief of Strategic Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement. In this role she served on the Superintendent’s District Administration Team. Worthington was responsible for the Communication Department. She also worked with state and federal grants, community partnerships/sponsorships, facilitated superintendent stakeholder groups, and district events.
Prior to working for Grand Island Public Schools, she served on the Grand Island Public Schools Board of Education for 14 years, several of those as board president. She assisted in the process to hire two superintendents.
Worthington started her career as an elementary school teacher in Kansas City and then spent 25 years in nonprofit management and 10 years as a college campus director for Doane University. Worthington has been involved as a volunteer, board member, and board chair for many organizations including United Way, YWCA, Hope Harbor, Leadership Tomorrow, and Stuhr Museum. She was appointed by the Governor and currently serves as a commissioner for ServeNebraska.
