Clients FAQ
What is the fee for your search services?
The fee for our search services is usually based on the number of students in the district. Please complete our Request for Quote form for proposal.
How long does a search take?
Our usual search process takes two to three months. However, when we meet with the board/organization, we will discuss the timeline and tailor it to the needs of the district/organization.
Do you have a list of candidates that we can review to fill our position?
No. Once the board has chosen its selection criteria, we will send the information to the list of applicants who have registered with us and requested to receive notifications of our openings (over 3,000). We will also send the information to all our consultants across the United States, asking them to nominate candidates who would be a good match. We will encourage those candidates to apply. Some of the best candidates may not be actively seeking another position and will need to be recruited.
What is the role of the district/organization’s staff?
The board will identify an appropriate staff person to work with the consultants to coordinate the logistics of the search. This includes tasks such as assisting with information for the promotional brochure and coordinating details for stakeholder input and other meetings within the district.
Applicants FAQ
How do I apply for an open position?
The applications can be found on our Current Openings page.
How can I contact the consultant about an open search?
The consultant and their contact information is listed with the opening on the Current Openings page.
How do I receive notifications of open searches?
You can register to receive notifications about our openings on the Current Openings page.
How confidential is my application?
In states where Freedom of Information laws allow, McPherson & Jacobson’s process keeps the names of all applicants confidential until they are named a finalist for the position, at which time the names of the finalists are made public. If the board requests, names can remain confidential until the final selection is made.
How can I receive a review of my application materials?
Send your request to mail@macnjake.com. Additional information will be sent to you.
