From Crisis to Community: Insights from the 2006 Grand Island Immigration Raid

 In light of the recent election and the potential impact on migrant students and families, we are hosting a conversation with Dr. Steve Joel, retired superintendent from Lincoln Public Schools and Grand Island Public Schools in Nebraska. In 2006, the Grand Island district was one of four communities that experienced an immigration raid. This conversation will center on this event and lessons learned that may be applicable to communities in the next few years.
