Dr. Tawana Grover joined McPherson & Jacobson in 2020.

Dr. Tawana Grover served as Superintendent of Grand Island Public Schools in Grand Island, Nebraska, a district of over 10,000 students. Prior to becoming Superintendent in 2016, she served as Chief Human Resource Officer, Executive Director of Federal Programs, Director of Special Programs, principal, and assistant principal in Texas. Dr. Grover is a Cohort 19 Fellow at The Broad Center for the Management of Schools. She earned a Ph.D. from The University of North Texas. Ed.S. degrees were achieved through Doane University and Auburn University at Montgomery, Alabama.

Dr. Grover possesses a sharp grasp of competencies for highly effective instructional leadership with a proven track record for advancing student achievement leading program evaluations, long-range strategic plans, and equity frameworks while infusing innovative programs such as early childhood education, high school redesigns, STEAM, and early college initiatives. Her expertise in human capital management propels recruitment and retention, staffing studies, compensation modeling, and Grow Your Own aspiring leadership academies.

As a respected leader, Dr. Grover is a sought-after presenter, panelist, and public speaker. She is also a guest columnist offering perspectives on relevant topics in education at the local, state, and national level. Dr. Grover is a member of notable organizations such as American Association of School Administrators (AASA), Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (ALAS), and National Alliance of Black School Educators (NABSE).
